What’s a show that had the perfect series finale?
You know that feeling when you spend YEARS watching a show… investing your emotions into the characters… surviving cliffhangers… crying over fictional people like they’re family…
…only for the ending to completely ruin everything?
Yeah. We’ve all been there.
That’s why a truly good series finale feels rare these days.
For me, the perfect finale isn’t always about a “happy ending.” It’s about closure. Growth. Feeling like the journey actually meant something.
I think the best finales leave you sitting there quietly for a minute after the credits roll.
Not because you’re confused…
But because you’re emotionally processing the fact that it’s over.
Some endings make you laugh.
Some make you cry.
Some make you immediately restart the whole series because you suddenly miss the characters like old friends.
And honestly? Those are the stories that stick with us the longest.
I’ve noticed something interesting too…
The older I get, the more I appreciate endings that feel realistic instead of perfect. Life isn’t always tied together with a neat little bow, and sometimes the best finales reflect that.
A really good show finale feels less like “The End” and more like:
“These characters will keep living their lives… we’re just no longer watching.”
That’s powerful storytelling.
Now I’m curious…
What show do YOU think had the perfect series finale?
And please tell me I’m not the only person who gets emotionally attached to fictional characters.
